Adding and Configuring Divider for an Email Template
Overview
The Email Builder allows users to add and configure a Divider component within an email campaign. Dividers are used to visually separate sections of content, improving readability and layout structure. Users can customize divider properties such as height and layout, reposition it within the email, or remove it as needed. This article explains how to configure and validate the Divider component in the final email content.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add Divider
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Click on Email Campaigns.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Go to the Design tab and click the Edit Template button.
- Locate the Divider component from the available elements.
- Drag and drop the Divider into the desired section of the email layout.
2. Configure Divider Properties
a. Enter or Edit Height
- Locate the Height field.
- Enter or update the desired height for the divider.
This controls the spacing or thickness of the divider.
3. Select Section Version Type
- Locate the Section Version Type dropdown field.
- Select the appropriate version type from the list.
This defines the layout or style variation of the divider.
4. Reposition the Divider
- Drag the Divider component to move it within the layout.
- Place it in the desired position in the email structure.
5. Remove the Divider
- Select the Divider component.
- Click on the Remove/Delete option.
6. Validate as a Participant
- Preview or send a test email.
- Verify that:
- The divider is displayed correctly
- The spacing and layout appear as configured
- The divider is positioned correctly within the email content
