Adding and Configuring Header H1 for an Email Template
Overview
The Email Builder allows users to add and configure a Heading H1 component within an email campaign. This component is used to define primary headings and improve content structure. Users can customize properties such as ID, title, dependencies, and layout, along with applying styling and formatting. This article explains how to configure, manage, and validate the Heading H1 component in the final email content.
Step-by-Step Approach
1. Add Heading H1
- On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
- Click on Email Campaigns.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- Go to the Design tab and click the Edit Template button.
- Locate the Heading H1 component from the available elements.
- Drag and drop the Heading H1 into the desired section of the email layout.
2. Configure Heading H1 Properties

a. Enter or Edit ID
- Locate the Id field.
- Enter or update a unique identifier for the heading.

b. Enter or Edit Title
- Find the Title field.
- Enter or modify the heading text as needed.
3. Select Dependency
- Locate the Dependency dropdown field.
- Select the appropriate dependency option from the list.
This controls conditional display or behavior of the heading.
4. Select Section Version Type
- Locate the Section Version Type dropdown field.
- Select the appropriate version type from the list.
This defines the layout or style variation of the heading.
5. Edit Heading Content
- Click inside the heading editor within the component.
- Add or modify the heading content.

Use available styling and formatting options such as:
- Font size and style
- Bold, italic, underline
- Text alignment
- Spacing and formatting
6. Use Merge Tags
- Locate the Merge Tags dropdown field.
- Select the required merge tag.
- Insert it into the heading content.
Merge tags allow dynamic personalization of the heading.
7. Reposition the Heading H1
- Drag the Heading H1 component to move it within the layout.
- Place it in the desired position in the email structure.
8. Remove the Heading H1
- Select the Heading H1 component.
- Click on the Remove/Delete option.
9. Validate as a Participant
- Preview or send a test email.

- The heading is displayed correctly
- Formatting and styling appear as expected
- Merge tags render correctly with dynamic data
- The heading is positioned correctly within the email layout
