Overview

The Image + Text component in the Email Builder allows users to combine visual and textual content within a single section of an email campaign. This helps create engaging and informative layouts by pairing images with descriptive text.

Users can configure properties such as ID, Title, Section Version Type, image settings, and text formatting. Participants can also validate how the Image + Text component appears and functions in the final email content.

Step-by-Step Approach

1. Add the Image + Text Component

  • On the Event Dashboard, go to the Content module.
  • Click on Email Campaigns.
  • Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
  • Go to the Design tab and click the Edit Template button.
  • Locate the Image + Text component from the available elements.
  • Drag and drop the component into the desired section of the email layout.

2. Configure Image + Text Properties

  • Click on the Image + Text component to open its settings panel.
  • Enter or edit the following for both image and text sections:
    • ID: Assign unique identifiers.
    • Title: Provide meaningful titles.
    • Section Version Type: Select the appropriate version type from the dropdown.

3. Configure Image Settings

  • Enter or edit:
    • Alt Text for the image.
    • URL (with or without HTTPS).
    • Target (e.g., same tab or new tab) from the dropdown.
  • Upload or drag and drop an image from your local system.
  • Alternatively, use Select Image to choose from the media library popup.

4. Edit Text Content

  • Click on the text section within the component.
  • Enter or edit the text directly in the Email Builder.
  • Apply available styling and formatting options such as:
    • Font size and style
    • Text alignment
    • Bold, italic, underline
    • Color adjustments

5. Apply Image Formatting

  • Select the image within the component.
  • Apply formatting options such as:
    • Alignment
    • Size adjustments
    • Spacing or padding
  • Ensure the image aligns properly with the text.

6. Reposition the Image + Text Component

  • Click and drag the Image + Text component.
  • Move it to the desired location within the email layout.

7. Remove the Image + Text Component

  • Select the Image + Text component.
  • Click on Delete/Remove.
  • Confirm the action to remove it from the email template.

8. Validate Image + Text (Participant View)

  • Open or preview the email as a participant.
  • Verify that the image and text are visible.
  • Ensure:
    • The image displays correctly with proper formatting.
    • The text is readable and styled as expected.
    • Clicking the image redirects to the correct URL.
    • Target behavior (same tab/new tab) works correctly.
    • Layout alignment between image and text is consistent across devices.
